Programs

"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn" Benjamin Franklin
We are a DHS 5 Star facility.  We have an OUTSTANDING group of teachers that are loving, patient, and caring. All of our classrooms have schedules and weekly lesson plans that follow the Early Learning Guidelines which help identify learning and goals that children should achieve during early years.   We have exceeded the minimum requirements set by DHS in our facility by offering more opportunities for growth and learning.  We look forward to providing a better quality of care for the children and look forward to continuing improvement of our service.
4 Year Old Program
Our Program offers Weekly themes that incorporate a learning curriculum along with life skills and learning independence to get the children prepared for success in school.  Goals are to make sure they are prepared mentally, socially and academically for school.  The teacher of this class has earned the Certificate of Mastery.
3 Year Old Program
Our Program focus is preparing the children for Pre-K.  The curriculum incorporates learning letters, numbers, also managing social and emotional skills as well.  Weekly themes are incorporated into the learning curriculum.  The teacher of this class has earned the Certificate of Mastery
Infant & 2 Year Old Program
These Programs follow a schedule and have weekly lesson plans to encourage growth mentally, physically, and emotionally of even our youngest.  We currently have a 2-year-old Teacher and 1-year-old Teacher working on earning their Certificate of Mastery, and we have an Infant teacher that has earned her Certificate of Mastery.

What is the Certificate of Mastery

A Certificate of Mastery can be obtained by attending one of Oklahoma's community colleges or other educational institutions. These programs include courses that will prepare teachers to work with developing children. Teachers learn about child growth, social skills, language development, and services for special needs children. Along with this, teachers learn how to work with parents and the community to better the learning environments for students. Teachers learn all about childcare, safety, and nutrition. They also learn about being a master teacher through assessment and evaluation, program planning, and professionalism. These certificate programs are 18 credit hours, with three in English composition and the other 15 dedicated to education and child growth.

At our facility, we are required to have at least 3 teachers with a Certificate of Mastery or with a Child Development Certificate (CDC).  Our facility currently has 4 and by the end of the year will have 6.  We strive to provide the best for the children in our care.
